Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Confetti (“the Service”), operated at confetti.app. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The service

Confetti is a digital disposable camera platform for events. Couples purchase access and receive a unique QR code. Guests scan the QR code to access a digital camera and take photos during the event. Photos are processed overnight and released to the couple at a scheduled reveal time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create an event or make a purchase. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement. Guests using the camera feature may be under 18 with the implicit consent of the event organiser who chose to share the camera link.

3. Account and purchases

Couples sign in via Google or Apple OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. Purchases grant access to one event with the specified number of cameras and shots. All prices are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card details. By purchasing, you agree to Stripe’s Terms of Service.

4. Refund policy

You may request a full refund within 24 hours of purchase, provided that no cameras have been claimed by guests. Once guests have started using cameras, no refund is available as the service has been partially delivered. Refund requests should be sent to hello@confetti.film.

5. Photo ownership and licence

You (and your guests, as applicable) retain full ownership of all photos taken using the Service. By using the Service, you grant Confetti a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process, and display your photos solely for the purpose of providing the Service — including overnight processing, thumbnail generation, and gallery display.

We do not claim any ownership over your photos, will not use them in marketing without your explicit written consent, and will not share them with any third party except as necessary to provide the Service (e.g. our storage and processing providers).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to take, store, or distribute content that:

  • Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or defamatory
  • Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
  • Contains nudity, sexually explicit material, or graphic violence
  • Violates the privacy or dignity of any person
  • Constitutes harassment or bullying

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, without prior notice.

7. Photo storage and expiry

All photos and event data are permanently and irreversibly deleted 60 days after the wedding date. This includes all photo formats (raw, full-resolution, previews, and thumbnails), guest data, and event records. The gallery will no longer be accessible after this point.

We will send reminder emails at 30 days, 7 days, and 1 day before deletion. It is your sole responsibility to download all photos before this deadline. We are not liable for any loss arising from failure to download photos within the 60-day retention period.

By purchasing the Service, you acknowledge and accept this 60-day retention limit.

8. Service availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service is provided “as is”. We will make reasonable efforts to ensure photos are processed and available at the scheduled reveal time, but are not liable for delays caused by technical issues outside our reasonable control.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the event in question
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses
  • We are not liable for loss of photos due to events outside our reasonable control (including hardware failure, natural disaster, or third-party service outages)

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

10. Privacy

Our collection and use of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from any mandatory consumer protection provisions in the law of your country of residence.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes materially affect your rights, we will notify you by email at least 14 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Contact
